Okay, I lied and acted like it wasn’t a big deal that Michael Jackson died in my last post. I’ve been absolutely beside myself. Ugh. Michael, I can think of a few people who should take your place. I’m a die hard fan. I really do regret how his life spiraled out of control in the past 15 years or so.

Aya this down? You really are a die hard fan. Since I’m far, far away from television or radio to keep reminding me about MJ’s death, I still have no idea what it means really. We were going to teach Thriller dance moves to some students here in imbesani village near Arusha but the previous student-groups already did that so now we have changed it to some other (although waaay less creative – like Macarena!) dances. Yeah.

for some reason everybody misses him more when the guy is dead than when he was alive.
i wonder why they were all accusing him of what he did NOT..poor guy nolosha ay ku dhibeen!!

M.Haji, all the vulture media that skewered him are now making money off of him too.
How are your studies, walaal?

Om, wow, Arusha sounds delightful. I am just now reading your archives on the trip and enjoying them so much. How I missed following your trip, I don’t know? I am now breathing Africa air vicariously through you. How are you doing?

I think the media needs to leave the man alone to rest. They are absolutely torturing his image.
