“And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance.” –Khalil Gibran
How many of us can say that our childhood soundtrack had a track or two from Michael Jackson? For all his faults and failings, I am sad for the man’s passing.

Everyone knew him, M. I don’t understand why I felt like I had lost someone I knew. Funny this business of childhood memories. Michael Jackson crisscrosses through so many important ones.
I’m okay, walaal, how have you been?! The summer is almost half done with little travel plans although the fall is looking pretty good.
How is life treating?

Yup. I use to the moonwalk as a kid. My favourite song being ‘Wanna be starting something’ introduced to me in 1987 by my cool uncle (may Allah rest his soul). I was just a kid and my youthful uncle would put on a show in the whole cinema complex before the normal shows start and play MJ songs back to back. Lol. I guess I was a spoilt kid back then.
Since then MJ was on top of the list for me.
Aya how are you dear?

Oh I forgot about Khaliil Gibran’s quote, read ‘The Wisdom of Fools’. I remember reading it in my sec. schl days and one line stuck with me: this village…’they tied down their stones and let loose their dogs’
Lol. That was a story about a fellow who was chased by dogs who tried to collect a stone to throw at them but caught only a frost stone. Thus the line. Very humouruous man he was.

Isseh, ‘wanna be startin’ something’ is my favourite song too!! Man, I still listen to it 2 or 3 times a week. Three generations of my family loved MJ, LOL, including my dead grandma (bless her soul). My mother played Billie Jean till the tape ripped.
I am doing very well, walaal, how are you?! How is the book going?
