i have been out of the loop – travelling. i think in the end muslims will be disillusioned by the hypocrisy of the wadaads just as the christians have done with their priests. i agree with Aya, but i always do.

My friend’s husband is Iranian and he posts links and info daily on atrocities that aren’t known by the media. It is enough to rip the linings of my tummy. I cry all the time now whenever I see them on TV or on video clips. I hope for their sake that Ahmedinajad does not get sworn in this week.

Courage indeed, we took to the streets in thousands to protest against the Iraqi invasion… fat lot of good that did. When it comes to power, people’s lives are inconsequential and expendable, politicians live as if our existance is merely a small obstacle to their engorged appetite for power. The bravery we exhibit only strengthens my belief that humanity will prevail above all of this fitnah. The price we pay for this larger goal will definitely be worth it.

Dahab, I went to a demonstration today in support of their uprising. I don’t think Mousavi is the answer (he’s probably using all of this to advance his goals). But these are courageous people and for that, I am deeply respectful of their strength. Neda’s death? I don’t think it was worth it.

Now if I can just pretend that I am not nomad with the atrocities in Muqdisho everyday. How much genocide can one group of people visit upon their own?

There aren’t words strong enough to describe this horrifying situation. That young girl shouldn’t have died, it was her time but it makes me wonder whether the cause is worth while, whether her death changes anything.
