Tonight I am going to a wedding of a friend’s sister. This is her third. I vowed, swore up and down, and spat on a promise ring that I would not attend another wedding of this woman. I hate weddings in general but she manages to put together the worst.
After 2 previous marriages, I think a small ceremony is in order for the third. Am I being too cruel? I just don’t get why she needs to wear a white dress, do the green mile walk while people are shouting and ululating, sit in that hideous stare-a-thon seat for the just-married, and then have those odd-looking video guys take pictures. And her 3 kids from the last 2 marriages will be running around.
It is all very strange to me.

I think there are people who are addicted to weddings…not that I’m implying this particular woman is one of those people. But she could be..
Aya, you have already attended more weddings of this one woman than I ever have in my entire life, lol!

Native, how are you walaal?! I am doing okay. I survived about 20 minutes and just had to leave. The migraine I faked became real later that evening LOL
Om, you are a lucky man. I haven’t been to a wedding in years but she is related to a dear friend who needed someone to cringe with her.
How is your summer going?

Damn women. Some people can’t even afford to sit through just one. The whole ‘wedding’ charade is just…erm… oh sord it!
Aya, how are you doing? Long time no read you. It’s amazing that you kept up blogging. Woman, you have a strong will-power.
Kuddos.

Isseh, the real question is why you have stopped?!
I am well, walaal. Life does take you hither and tither, doesn’t it? It would be lovely to find out how you have been.

Aya, indeed a good question. I got a little pre-occupied with other things (good things) in life that got me on lock-down. But the Alcalde’s back!
Good to hear. Yes it is. I would lament that fate’s like the staggering drunk, faltering and falling hither and tither. But take a full comfort in a moment’s fall for to rise again is the unavoidable inevetibility.
Would be lovely to catch up soon, Insha-Allah.

Isseh, as long as you were out with good things, walaal
I look forward to catching up soon too.
