Greetings from Florida, people. Before folks around here lose their minds about Gustav, I wanted to wish you a blessed month of hunger and gratitude for all our riches. Remember, we’re supposed to eat less and give more. Kinda reminding myself as I spend the better part of my working days daydreaming about food.

Hahaha….happy ramadan, Aya. I’m sure daydreaming about food is just part of ramadan.

I’ve been dreaming of water… plenty of water, esp’ considering the heat wave we’ve been having in the Bay Area.
Anyways, Ramadan mubarak to you too.
How long are you in Florida for? Or is this a permanent relocation?

^ Me too! Lots of cold water, with ice floating on top. I am having such a tough time with thirst. Not 2 days have passed and I’m already green and dizzy
This ramadan business is not for wimps, I tell ya’.
I came home today and not a moment too soon. Airports suck when you’re hungry.

Lol… I was watching a documentary on environmental design in architecture yesterday evening whilst waiting for Iftar time, and do you think they spoke of any buildings? No, all they spoke about for about 20 minutes were springs, rivers and lakes. I switched channels as it was aggravating my already catastrophic level of thirst.
The first week is a killer for me always, the hunger is ok, but the thirst. Anyways, next week I’ll have this down perfectly and no more intrusive dreams

Ramadan Mubarak to you too Aya
Have to agree with you both up there…..itś the thirst that makes Ramadan difficult for me and not the hunger. That said it has been pretty cool (temparaure wise) here in Manchester, alhamdulillah.
May it be a blessed month for us all Aya…ameen

It gets easier, believe you me!
Ramadan Kareem my dearest, may Allah make the faster easier for all of us.

AMTAF, the weekend has been so much easier as I don’t have to be on the road as much. I’d avoid shows that show rivers and lakes
I’m suffering from serious withdrawal from my cooking shows.
Native, ameen hon. I think carrying a water bottle with one all year long makes it so difficult not to reach for one. Especially in this unusually hot September Ramadan kareem.
TCHD, boy you are right. A world of difference between days 1 and 7.
