Friends, my sister turns 25 very soon and I need to buy a gift. She hates a fussy b-day and has already asked for a book (blah) but I want to get her something more substantial. She loves gadgets and mixes her own music. Any ideas?

Howdy Aya, how are you holding up? Sorry to hear about the marathon, but I think your physical health is more important. You can always run it next year, I’A.
Gift ideas, hmmm….25 is an important age, so whatever you get her has to be really good. How about a memorable experience? Or maybe a package holiday somewhere nice? If your bank account is not that forgiving, how about a laptop…iMac maybe?
My sister too turns 25 this autumn, I’A, and I’m thinking along the special experience route.
All the best, dear.

^I didnt read Firefly’s reply and I was thinking the same thing.
Since she is into music, maybe concert ticket, lessons… something along those lines.
And if she is overworked like moi, a day at the spa would be nice.

If your wallet can handle it — a whole day experience maybe?
- Breakfast in bed
- Shopping for birthday outfit
- Nice long massage/pedicure/manicure
- finish off day with concert/play/dinner
- a small cake @ home and then snuggle in with a movie
Sigh. I think I just described my perfect day. I have no idea what your sis would like — but if she doesn’t want a party — a gift from you or just a day together would be nice.

Firefly, hon, how’ve you been? I am holding up nicely walaal. My sister hates birthday parties and I think she’s choosing seclusion and reflection at the quarter century mark I love the idea of a holiday, she’s always wanted to visit Morocco & Algeria (a big fan of Rai). Hmmm.
I think she would love a Mac with the mixing software. She does it very old school now.
FOC, I love the idea of lessons but my brother beat me to a baby grand piano and some conservatory lessons.
Working too hard?

Lone Dreamer, hon, you sound so tired?! Medicine must be wearing you out. That day sounds so lovely I may just do it for myself. Unfortunately, my little sis lives in a different city and we may have to wait till the summer to have a delightful day like that.

^I’m so tired my soul aches.
You should definitely do that — might take the apartment stress out of your mind for a few hours anyway.

Hang in there, hon.
